The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health offers a variety of funding opportunities for Hopkins students and residents to gain overseas hands-on experience. Grant Opportunities for Hopkins Students >> Global Health Field Research Awards (GHFRA) This program provides grants of up to $3,500 for undergraduate and graduate students to work with a mentor on a global health project in a developing country. This award is best suited for students who have a project idea and/or mentor already in mind. DUE DATE: March 1, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
>> Global Health Established Field Placements (GHEFP) This program provides grants of up to $3,500 for undergraduate and graduate students to gain experience by applying to specific placements. This award is best suited for students who wish to gain experience internationally but do not require an independently-guided research project. DUE DATE: February 17, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
>> Global Health Travel Grants for Housestaff This program provides twelve $3,500 travel grants per year to Johns Hopkins housestaff. This program is for housestaff who have already identified opportunities overseas. DUE DATE: October 14, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. >> Global Health Conference Grant Program This program provides $500 to Global Health Field Research Award and Global Health Established Field Placement winners to present their research at a conference.
