Institute of International Education (IIE) - Scholar Rescue Fund: The Scholar Rescue Fund is intended to support academics, scholars, and intellectuals from any country and any discipline in temporary visits to institutions in any safe country, in any part of the world. The fund's hope is that during the fellowship period conditions in the scholars' home country might improve to allow their safe return. Applications and nominations are accepted continuously.

Fulbright  Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES): (From COS) This program offers faculty the opportunity for  lecturing or research abroad and to make a major contribution to global understanding.  This is grant is for research in the Middle East, North Africa, South or Central Asia Regional Research Programs.
