Fellowships (click here for all fellowships)

International Society for Infectious Diseases Scientific Exchange Fellowship Program: The program was created to promote collaboration among researchers in different countries by enabling infectious disease researchers in the formative stage of their career to extend their research experience in institutions outside of their region. These awards are not restricted to physicians and are intended to support young scientists from developing countries in updating their knowledge of new, relevant laboratory techniques or in learning specific skills and techniques. Proposals that enhance the transfer of technologies to geographical areas where they are particularly needed will be favored.

New web tool to be launched for finding funding information: The NIH will no longer produce tables comparing funding to different organizations.  Instead, a new web site has been created so that you may conduct your own analyses.

Get ready for changes in peer review: The NIH Center for Scientific Review has suggested some changes to peer-review.

Project Funding - Collaborative Opportunity

Proposed Collaborative for PEPFAR Grant: The Centre for Management and Technology (CMAT) is a well-connected non-profit company that applies their experience in the business world to addressing health priorities. CMAT is looking to partner with the Hopkins Center for Clinical Global Health Education and other Hopkins partners to propose a novel health systems approach to optimizing the PEPFAR program, specifically in very rural Africa. At this point, they are interested in identifying potential collaborators that would like to hear more about their proposal and consider joining them as partners to develop a grant proposal.  Those interested should follow this link for additional information and to complete a very brief survey of interest: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=761653075853
