JHU NIMH Center Developmental Pilot Grants. Hopkins faculty and collaborators in other institutions are eligible to apply. Due date: September 15, 2006. CGH seeks feedback on design of country pages for its website: The CGH will be adding "country" pages to its revised website. We plan on having links to various profiles, Hopkins projects, etc. To make these pages more useful to investigators and staff planning to work in these countries, we would like feedback from those currently working overseas. We’d like to know what information will be helpful to present. In other words, now that you have been there and been through the start-up work on projects what would have been helpful for you to have known up front. Please feel free to share any ideas. Responses may be sent to Dick Dunning at rdunning@jhmi.edu Grant-writing tutorial available at UNC for International Researchers: The International Core of the UNC Center for AIDS Research offers a grant-writing tutorial for promising international (non-US) HIV/AIDS researchers each year. The resulting grant proposals are submitted in response to the PA, “Small Research (R03) Grants for International Research in Infectious Diseases at NIAID International Sites (IRID-NIAID).” The purpose of this three-year R03 is to collect preliminary data that will support an R01 application. The Core prioritizes supporting research collaborations in China, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, and South Africa, although all applications will be considered. For additional information and submission of nominations please contact Kim Chapman ( kchapman@unc.edu) or call 843-1357. Deadline for nominations: 9/9/2006. Is a Late Application OK?
