Luce Scholars Program: The Luce Scholars Program provides stipends and internships for fifteen young Americans to live and work in Asia each year.

Contract Notice - Training Courses for Communicable Disease Outbreak Investigation: The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) has a requirement for training courses for communicable disease outbreak investigation. ECDC wishes to engage the services of two or three companies specialised in training in field epidemiology to assist the centre in implementing its training strategy. 

Researcher Exchange Programme (RXP): The Researcher Exchange Programme (RXP) i aims to promote the development of scientific cooperation and contact between the United Kingdom and other countries. PAHO/WHO Fellowships (WHO Member States Outside the Americas): Fellowships are available to citizens of member states of the World Health Organization (WHO). Fellowships provide opportunities for advanced study in public health fields that are not customarily available in the fellow's home country. They are intended to promote the international exchange of scientific knowledge and techniques related to health. Speech Interface Designed for Community Health Workers: Jahanzeb Sherwani, a 4th year PhD student in the Computer Science department at Carnegie Mellon University has just begun work on a project called HealthLine. HealthLine investigates the use of spoken language telephonic interfaces for community health workers across Pakistan who need updated and reliable health information. Jahanzeb is interested in finding colleagues with similar interests and/or potential collaborators.  Interested parties may contact him at jsherwan@andrew.cmu.edu

Neglected Diseases Funding -- It Takes Two to Samba: (From the NIAID Funding News)  Recently, Brazil's public and private sectors have begun stepping up efforts to combat infectious diseases affecting that country's population. This may present opportunities for US collaborators.
