Fellowships
Framework Program in Global Health- Predoctoral Research Fellowships: Johns Hopkins announces a program to support fellowships for short-term research experiences to address global health issues. The objective is to enhance the recruitment of diverse students into research and practice careers in global health. The program is supported by the National Institutes of Health’s Fogarty International Center and the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health. Open to all JHU undergraduate and graduate students. Deadline for submission: April 15, 2007.

Position Announcement
Head of Department - Training (HDT), Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), Uganda: The mission of the IDI is to build capacity in Africa for the delivery of sustainable, high quality care and prevention for HIV and related infections through training and research. The HDT possesses a post-graduate degree in medicine, pediatrics or public health sciences. The candidate will ideally have at least 5 years experience in health care delivery in a resource limited setting with hands on experience in the field of health care provider training. Project Funding
Ellison Medical Foundation Senior Scholar Award in Aging 2007: The program funds established investigators conducting research in the basic biological and basic biomedical sciences relevant to understanding aging processes and age-related diseases and disabilities. The award will provide support to stimulate the development of new, creative research programs by investigators not currently conducting aging research or those who wish to develop new research programs in aging. Letter of Intent Deadline: March 8, 2007.
