Opportunities Indian Institution Seeks Collaborators: Hopkins has been approached by a representative of the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, India seeking collaborators on research projects. The topics of interest are maternal and pediatric medicine, imaging, and possibly other areas. The Center for Gloabl Health seeks to facilitate such collaborations. We are interested in knowing if there are any faculty currently working with Hinduja Hospital. Also, anyone interested in a relationship should send their name, e-mail, and potential areas of interest for a collaboration to Dick Dunning at rdunning@jhmi.edu. Topics will be presented to hospital representatives in an attempt to make a match. Project Funding International Research Scientist Development Award (IRSDA) [K01]: (PAR-07-014) This program supports U.S. postdoctoral biomedical, epidemiological, clinical, social and behavioral scientists in the formative stages of their careers to conduct research in developing countries. These awards will provide the successful candidates with a three- to four-year period of intensive mentored research, leading to an independent research career focused on global health. This research must be directly linked to an established collaboration between a U.S. mentor/sponsor and a leading developing country scientist at an internationally recognized research institution in a developing country.
