Research and Professional Experience

My research interest and activities are centered in the areas of surveillance of infectious diseases and vaccines to prevent infection in children in developing countries. We have conducted surveillance for H. influenzae and S. pneumoniae in Guatemala. We are involved also in polio eradication research, and introduction of new vaccines into Latin America.
