SciVal Experts Research Profile

Research and Professional Experience

With a combination of training and research experiences in the field of medicine, maternal and child health, biostatistics and demography, Dr. Liu's current research interests include better describing and understanding the levels, causes, and associated factors of mortality among children under-five and their mothers in the developing countries. These areas are part of a broader field of health information system and Dr. Liu is ultimately interested to promote better collection, generation and utilization of maternal and child health information in the developing countries.

As a native of China, Dr. Liu also holds strong interests in conducting research in her "hometown". In addition, she is interested to continue working on projects that can integrate her early work on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS with her long-lasting interests in maternal and child health.
