Research and Professional Experience
My program of research centers around the prevention of drug resistant infections in vulnerable populations or high risk settings. Internationally, my current work focuses on understanding the infection control infrastructure in M(X)DR-TB care settings in South Africa leding to the development of intervention-based stuides. Locally, my ongoing work addresses the importance of drug resistant infections in high risk community populations. I am currently investigating CA-MRSA in newly admitted psychiatric patients at JHH as well as developing work on CA-MRSA in the HIV/AIDS population.
