SciVal Experts Research Profile

Research and Professional Experience

My current research is focused primarily on surveillance, clinical trials and evaluation of injury prevention efforts in low and middle income countries.  My area of focus is childhood injuries; I combine my experience in clinical pediatrics to identify and assess a population’s child health concerns with my knowledge of epidemiology and statistics to conduct rigorous scientific research to find optimum preventive health measures.  I am also actively involved in infectious disease surveillance, clinical trials and the programmatic aspects of vaccine dissemination, particularly Hib/LRI vaccines and nutritional interventions.
