Our laboratory uses genomics and molecular biology to locate and analyze genes that are altered during cancer development. We focus primarily on brain cancers, but our international collaborations focus on many cancer types, in particular those most relevent to the host country. Our general approach is to determine which genes are mutated, and which pathways are pathologically activated during malignant progression and to target these pathways with small molecules and small molecule combination. With our international collaborations we work to apply advanced genomics to cancers of interest, train scientists, and to create projects that address special needs.
