The AVI-TAC, a consortium of PATH, JHSPH, and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, is tasked with providing technical assistance to the Accelerated Vaccine Initiative, a GAVI Alliance program whose aim is to accelerate the introduction of new vaccines for the world’s children. Specific areas of focus for the TAC include epidemiologic and other research studies, vaccine economics and finance, and advocacy and communications efforts to build robust support for the use of new vaccines in GAVI-eligible countries.
