Data

Background[1]

Located in Southeastern Asia along the Gulf of Thailand, the Kingdom of Camodia descends back to the Angkor Empire until French took control of it in 1863. Independence was granted in 1953 as civil wars became increasingly devastating throughout the country for several years thereafter. The United Nations tried to renew peace and political stability and cease the crimes against humanity. The risk of acquiring a major infectoius disease is very high in Cambodia including diarrhea, hepatits A, typhoid and dengue fever, malaria, encephalitis, the H5N1 avian influenza and HIV/AIDS.
