>> See all 2011 Headlines May 16, 2011 The Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health recently announced the winners of both the Global Health Field Research Award and the Established Field Placement Award. Fifty-seven students were awarded travel grants, setting a record for the number of awardees for the Center. The objective of both programs is to enhance the recruitment of students into global health research and practice careers by providing them the means to work with faculty mentors and to travel overseas to gain valuable experience.
Consistent with the program's goal to support students in a wide range of disciplines necessary to respond to today's global health challenges, this group of fifteen awardees features students pursuing degrees in a variety of fields.
