Photography Competition Coordinated by the JB Grant Society and the Center for Global Health The J.B. Grant Society will be hosting the Global Health Photography Competition as a part of Global Health Day 2012. Participation is limited to Johns Hopkins students only. Photos must be from a previous overseas experience while the photographer/student was enrolled at Hopkins. Each student may submit a maximum of 2 photographs. A gallery of photographs for public display will be chosen from those submitted. The photographer will be notified if his/her photograph has been chosen to be on display, and its location. From the photos on display, cash prizes will be awarded to the best photographs by a panel of student and faculty judges.
1) Photography submissions must include the following: a) Title of each photograph b) Name of photographer and contact information (email and phone) c) Location (city and country where photograph was taken) d) Category of photo (choose from the categories below) i) Human Rights ii) Child and Maternal Health iii) Environmental Health iv) Community Health e) The date (if unknown, please provide the year) each photograph was taken. Photo must be taken in the past 5 years. f) Photographs as an attached JPEG or TIFF file format. The suggested quality of each photo at least 9 inches x 6 inches at 300 dots per inch (dpi). Minimum 1-2 megapixel per photo. g) Submit the above information and photos to: ruthylucas@gmail.com.
